Here is a little list of the sites I am using to make a little extra money at home.
Quick List of Recommendations in this post
EasyHits4U: I don't make much here I use it to promote the other three sites I am going to tell you about and it is free unless you want to upgrade. You can earn ad credits by looking at other ads.
Postloop: This site is fun and easy once you get through the sign up process. You make money for posting on blogs and forums. You get paid for all the work you do and I have cashed out twice to make sure it works. They pay very quickly and it is rather easy to earn. The more you work the more you earn. You can also earn more per post by getting good ratings. You can also earn commission on referrals.
Clixsense: This is a paid to click site with other many ways to earn. You can click on ads, play the game to win money, earn commission on referrals, do small tasks and fill out offers. Then if you want you can cash out or use your money to promote other sites.
PTCBox: This one is my absolute favorite paid to click site. I upgraded my way to ten cents a click and a much better referral commission but you don't have to upgrade at all. I have earned 45 dollars here in just two months and each day the commissions are growing. I did not have my upgrades the first month so I am sure it would have been more had I done the full upgrade earlier.
Wealthy Affiliates- This site has yet to earn me a dime but the training is highly valuable and the commission structure for referrals is unbelievable. I think I would be earning already if there was not so much other stuff going on in my life. The reason I am not earning is I need to set aside more time to focus on this and learn the technical stuff that keeps tripping my progress up. Training in affiliate marketing is probably the most valuable thing you can learn these days so now that I have some of the other sites moving along with less effort I will be learning how to make an income with this site.
It takes a little time but once you start getting the referrals you are going to earn commissions on everything your referrals do. What I really like about this type of business is that you don't have to market it to your friends and family like you do with MLM's. You are not really selling the product to people who don't want it you are selling to people who are looking to buy it or use it. Once you build your down line will make money while you sleep and that is very appealing to me. I don't want you to think you are going to make a fortune doing any of this and even if could it would take a lot of time and effort. A few months of dedicated marketing and you can make a good side income. If you pick a good place to start in Affiliate marketing you could potentially replace an income from a job but I would not count on it until you start seeing the cold hard cash.
I love all of these places and I highly recommend them all. The only one that costs money is Wealthy Affiliates and you get hosting and unlimited training after your free 10 day trial. Work at home jobs are typically absolute scams or time wasters and I had almost lost hope that anything online could make you any money. I am signed up for at least 50 sites for extra income and these are the ones I have found to be worth my time and energy. There are a few others but I will save them for another post.

Down 6.5 pounds and 12 inches!!!
Results!
I have to admit I was very discouraged this week because the scale just wouldn't budge. I was at 144.5 for five days. Then this morning it went down. I added some serous weight lifting this week and somehow I hoped it would make the numbers on the scale go down. I knew from a logical standpoint that I should be taking measurements instead but it is a lot harder than just getting out of bed and stepping on the scale.
So this morning I took my third set of measurements, biceps, hips, bust, waist, calves and thighs and I am down 6.5 more inches for a total of 12 since I started this program on June 22. I really am going to have to focus on the inches more now that I have a good strength training regimen going.
Gym
On Monday of this week I joined a gym that is less than 5 minutes from my house. The gym requires no contracts and it was only 100 dollars down and 10 dollars a month. Yea for me I now have somewhere to lift weights. I found that I also like the cardio bike, something I used to hate. It loosens up the hip I broke and helps with more fluid motions in the leg.
I have been sore for days but it is the good kind of sore and I know if I keep it up I can look like Jillian Michaels in no time. Yes that is my goal these days to have a body like hers and while I have a weight guideline it is not set in stone because I want to have some serious muscle tone.
My membership included 2 personal training sessions and the first one was just paper work and goal setting. I don't have the cash for more sessions but he did show me some great exercises and my sister in law also helped me learn to use the machines and showed me some great core exercises. I am all set to succeed for now as long as I keep it up.
Setbacks
Everyone has setbacks and mine seem to have to do with scheduling. I have not really messed my eating up because I have kept all the really bad food out of the house. I have however had a few days where poor planning has had me to the point of my stomach grumbling and me reaching for anything and everything to eat. If I had junk food in the house I would be in big trouble on those days.
I think the worst thing is finding time for exercise 6 days a week. I want to stay on a 6 day plan for the rest of my life but there is always something to do or some family function or a wedding or ....well you get my point, and that leads me to my next section about working in the fitness industry.
My New Job Is Getting Fit
I started my first (free) course to become a personal trainer. I have been reading the book when I have the time but some of it is overwhelming. I did graduate from college with a great GPA but I didn't learn a whole lot of science and the book is loaded with it. So I borrowed some textbooks from my sister to help me get a better grasp of some of the terms.
It won't be a breeze but it is not super difficult either and it gives me some time to prove to myself and my hubby and potential clients that I can get in great shape. Then when I am close to my own goals I can start to take the ISSA course that seems to be accepted everywhere.
I want to stay in great shape and I want to help other people stay in shape and what better way to achieve this goal than to have a career in fitness.
Diet
Just an added note I am on a diet of sorts. I am using (and selling) Herbalife products. I love them because they give me energy and they are great for a quick meal when I am on the go. I can take a protein bar to the gym and eat it before a great work out and come home and have a shake. I am on a 2 shake a day program but I have been known to have another on for a snack especially now that I am lifting weights and need a protein boost without having to cook something. I eat a lot of veggies, salads and nuts for snacks and I eat a good meal but I am NOT counting calories. I get way too obsessive when I do that. I am also not cutting out red meat or potatoes but I am staying away from bread for right now. I eat ground buffalo and lean steaks but not everyday and I sometimes have potatoes cut up and grilled. I am staying away from the bread because I think I am addicted to it when I eat a little I just want more and more.
We went to the Outback the other day and I had a small steak with veggies and a sweet potato and one little piece of bread and once I took a bite it took everything in me to leave the rest there I don't even have that much of an issue with sweet things. I always thought my vice was sweets but come to find out it is bread. Not sure what that is all about but maybe I will learn in my personal training courses.
Good luck with your weight loss programs and thanks to all of you who have supported me over the years. This time I am going to get it done and by the end of October you will get the before and after pics.

Writing and Volunteering Today
First I want to say please pray for Matt and Sarah Hammitt and their little boy Bowen. Matt is the lead singer of Sanctus Real and he went to my high school. Their baby was born with a heart problem and he is now in the hospital. After a few close calls he is still hanging in there. Your can read more at Bowens Heart.
I myself am suffering from lack of sleep because of rude people who like to make a lot of noise at all hours of the night. When i can actually identify all the words in a conversation outside at 11pm I am thinking it is too loud.
I am just going to quit thinking about that and try to get enough coffee in me to make the best of what I have today. I volunteer at Toledo Area Ministries today from 1-3 but other than that I plan to be writing. Jen Whitten who has been like an angel to me over the years has invited me to post on one of her blogs. Your Dark Passenger is a blog I read often and I am really excited about being able to contribute. So excited my mind has gone blank and I am having trouble thinking well enough to focus on a topic. I have a post in the works but I am nervous about it. Who would have thought I would get like this when writing for someone I admire.
I also plan to get a few sample articles ready for applying for freelance writing jobs. I have no idea what to write about for these articles. I have been thinking a few articles about dogs, religion, book reviews, and other random articles. I just need to continue writing and things will work out eventually.

I Love Blogging, Wish It Was a Good Way To Make Money
This morning I woke up at 7:30 instead of 5:45 and it felt amazing. I still needed a cup of coffee to start functioning well but it didn't take as long as usual. My goals for the morning were to get blog posts up for at least some of my blogs. I got distracted a little with the thought of making money blogging again. The thought didn't last long as I got a great laugh when I saw the book on the side of this post.
It reminded me why I blog and what a mess that I make when I try to create a blog that produces income. I start to feel like it is work and I end up spending hours clicking other blogs and wasting time I could be doing more productive things. Then ultimately it becomes a chore that only pays pennies for an hour of work.
I can't say that it is impossible to make a 6 figure income blogging but for me I really don't see that happening. I don't think any of your average bloggers are going to make a huge income like that. There might be a lot of great tips in this book so I am actually thinking of picking it up if they have a library copy. I am not looking at it for the huge income but for some tips to improve my blogs. I would love to have more readers and improve things for the readers I have.
I am not going to try to make tons of money blogging because I start to focus on the money making aspect too much. I am however going try to post more often and attempt to bring more readers to my blogs. If I make a few advertising dollars great if I don't I am still loving it.
I have well over a year to get my Social Work license up to date. I can keep the credentials and I can work on a plan to use my Social Work knowledge to help people. I want to start a business of my own and work for myself . It may be an internet business not directly related to social work I am still trying to decide what to do. What I do know is that I don't want a traditional job. I don't mind sitting at a desk most of the day if I can choose when I get up and walk the dog or work out. I want a job where I can work from 10pm (when my hubby leaves for work) till the wee hours of the morning and then sleep in if that is what I choose to do. I have been thinking of trying to write again as I do enjoy it most of the time. I know I would have to put a lot time and effort into getting some paying jobs. I have also been thinking of marketing some life skills lessons on a website. I would have to write them and then get a website to sell the lessons. Then I may have to figure out how I can retain rights to them. I have a bunch of ideas for the first time in long time but I jut need to get some focus and work hard at meeting one goal at a time.

Start Your Own Coaching Business Book Review
This book was a very good basic overview of the business. That is also all it was a quick look into the mechanics of the business. It was a good and inexpensive way to figure out if starting this business was something you wanted to do. There is a lot of good advice in the book and a lot of advice that goes against all of my financial convictions.
I can not recommend this book without saying his financial advice can be thrown in a lake with a rock tied around it so it can't surface. Now on that note his business planning advise is worth every penny. As you can see I had a hard time reading this book after he continued to advocate student loans and borrowing money. Lots of people run their business on credit but I don't plan to go down that road.
He does redeem himself in many cases by warning you against quitting you day job before you make this your only source of income and by helping you figure out what it means to make a profit. He does let you know that you have to make a living doing it or you have to find a way to cut the costs.
Over all if you are not expecting a lot of detail on operating a business or the actual coaching it is a great book. I am probably a little (I mean a lot) crazy when it comes to financial advice that could get some one stuck with 200,000 dollars in student loans and possibly no way to pay them back if their business fails. I am just hate owing money and I live by that principal. I don't even like to have to take a mortgage and I will be stuck in the situation where I have to say I owe, I owe so off work I go, to the job I hate but have to stay at until I die if I want to keep up with the bills.

Working Out Physically, Mentally and Spiritually
It is just after one and I have managed to do some chores, work out, set an appointment with SCORE to help me with my business plan (for free!) and an appointment to work out the details of volunteering for the organization I worked my senior internship. I also started writing my business plan and finished a few more chapters in the book serving as my picture for this post.
So far it is a good basic overview of the business but I don't see it getting anymore in-depth so I have ordered one that is more of a text book. I am not going to put this on the back burner I am going to go out there and get moving. I feel good and things are really coming together. I must have made an impression on more people than I thought when I wasn't letting life chew me up and spit me out. I have had no problem getting back in the game and starting to re-establish contacts.
This is day 2 of being back on track with my working out. I had gotten there before surgery briefly and then I took another few weeks off even thought I was fine. I made different goals this time and I think they will be easier to stick with. I am going to work on getting to 3 miles in thirty minutes on the elliptical. I am tempted to make more goals but I have found in other areas of my life it is easier to focus on that one goal and when you meet it decide where to go next. I get frustrated to easily if I can't hurry and move on to the next goal.
Also I have not stepped on the scale yet. I do want to get on just to see the weight I am starting at but I don't want to get obsessed about it. So if I don't remember to weigh in the morning before I drink a few cups of coffee I just don't do it. One day I will remember but I am not sweating it, and really it is easier to do now that my goals have changed and I feel happier.
I am also spending time getting closer to the God I believe in. I am determined to read a chapter in Proverbs each day and pray. I have also been talking to the hubby more and trying to figure out how we can plan things together for our future and our marriage. When I launch this business we are going to have to have a plan for how we are going stay focused and in touch with each other even if I get so busy I don't have much time to spend with him. We both know it will take a lot of time and energy to start a business so we need to set some ground rules to keep our marriage a priority.
So I am working hard to make my dreams come true and hopefully I can help others realize their dreams in the process. Knowing what I want and going for it has already helped me with my attitude.
Well gotta go mow the front lawn and go to the bank and library and read more chapters in my book and then write more in my preliminary business plan document.
I have a new blog too Activate Your Dreams so please check it out. In the future I want to link it to my business website.

Looking Through My Social Work Notebooks
Okay I didn't save any of the files but I did save the complete journey through my senior year of Social Work classes. Consisting of 2 giant binders crammed full of useful information. I started by reading journal entries.
I am almost finished with them and I want to know who that person was. I was not the person I am today. I did mature as the journals progressed. I think I said over and over how much I liked helping people but also how much I liked working independently. My supervisor gave me projects to manage and left me with limited supervision. I should go through and count how many times I said even though it is stressful I love what I am doing. I have not felt like that in a very long time. Well not since I managed a weatherization project for the same organization right out of college. It didn't just make me realize that I am on the right track with planning my career it made me realize that I need to remove some of the negativity from my life. If that means not sharing my goals with my family (except the hubby) then so be it.
On that note I am going to change my life and begin by setting a few goals the first one is I am going to spend some time volunteering at the agency that I worked my internship.
Second I am going to work out 30 minutes a day on the elliptical. I am going to stay on the same max level in my program until I can hit a 10 minute mile and then set a new goal. That way I am not stressed out about the new goal before I get it started. In 30 minutes today I only did 1.3 miles and I was pretty sweaty. The main reason for this goal is that I get exercise every day and I have time for 30 minutes even on work days. If I work as hard as I can for 30 minutes I am sure it is better than just a few longer more lax work outs during the week and it forms a good health habit.
Third I am going to spend time every day reading one chapter in Proverbs for as long as it takes to ingrain the wisdom into my head. I am also going to set aside time to pray everyday even if it is just a few minutes.
Fourth I am going to spend the next two weeks learning everything I can about the business I want to start and try to come up with an outline to go to a free place that helps you with business plans. On that same note I am going to try to treat the people that come into the automotive shop with great respect even if my boss doesn't always treat me that way. It is not the customers fault and at least 95% of the time they deserve my best.
So I am working on things here and I really can't wait to get things started right now I am just excited about it and I know I need to keep working on a plan. I want to say a big thanks to JEFF KING who is super supportive.

Business Plan 101
Well I am working out a business plan a little at a time each day. I am trying to narrow things down and focus. Once I know exactly what services I am going to offer and how to apply fees I will launch a website.
I am giving my self two months to gather information and get the website started. I would like to launch the website by November 6th. I picked that day because I will be attending the local simulcast of Dave Ramsey's Entreleadership seminar. I figure I will learn a lot while I am there and want to tweak some of what I have started.
This will also give me time to develop good discipline in my life as well. In one week things have gotten better for me just by realizing what some of my dreams are. Also realizing that I don't have to spend a fortune to get there. Once things get off the ground there will be things I need to buy but not until I have a few clients. I know there will be some money involved in getting started but I can keep my investments minimal until I get stared. I will want to keep educating myself as well so I will be looking for cheap to free seminars and workshops I can attend to keep up to date on many current things.
I have time right now almost every day so if I spend my week days off like they are work days I should be able to pull this off in two months. If things are successful and I enjoy it as much as I think I will I can eventually quit my other job. Until then I am going to go to work and serve the customers like they were potential clients for my new business. Even if I feel down about something I am going to encourage my customers and try to make them feel great. Maybe it will help business at the shop and bring me future customers. Since I would not be competition for an automotive repair shop I don't see any harm in it.
Life feel like life again. I have a lot of work ahead of me. I have two months to develop a business plan and work on my life plan with my hubby. We went for a walk yesterday and talked a little about that and we are going to talk again after we look at houses today. So it is baby steps with us since his idea of a plan is sit back and watch things happen and hope for the best. I finally compared my life with out a plan to his life without video games (his favorite hobby) I think he got the picture. I truly think he just didn't understand how important it is to me. Now that he does we just have to work on it.

I am not Giving up!!
Well I am not sure where to find supportive people. Apparently I surround myself with negative people. I know that has been a part of my life more than it has not been but in the past I have had a few people that had my back. Now that does not mean they didn't tell me when I was being an idiot but it does mean they were supportive of many things in my life.
I don't have that right now and it is quite disheartening. I do have the skills to be a life consultant, I graduated with honors in my Social Work program. I was best at planning and management.I have lost some of that but I still have books and I can learn again.
I am not going to spend thousands of dollars to get a business running. I am not taking out loans either I hate debt. With the skills I worked hard in school to get I should be able to help people. The skills I need to learn are business skills, I need to design a plan to work with people, and figure out what services I want to offer. I need to write a good contract and learn about the legal and tax aspects.
I can see it in in the faces of the people around me and in the voices of those that I talk to they don't believe I can do it. They think my idea is crazy and stupid. Well sorry but that just pisses me off and makes me want to do it even more. I am going to spend every spare moment regaining my discipline and learning about business the next few weeks and during that time I am going to write all my ideas down. I am going to do this and I am going to be successful. I am also going to start looking for some more positive people to surround myself with.
I may even offer to help some people for free while I am trying to figure out an official plan.
